He holds a Master's in Behavioral and Decision Sciences (UPenn), an M.A. in philosophy, and a B.A. in Political Science. He is a dual doctoral researcher in Neuroscience and Social Psychology, with an emphasis on Mediation and Conflict Resolution. He has been the Principal Investigator of the World Values ​​Survey for Colombia since 2010.
He uses a collaborative approach known as translational research applied to complex territorial and organizational dynamics. This approach combines experimental methods, deliberative decision-making, and community participation using the arts and entertainment. He is an international expert in people-centered innovation for governments and multilateral institutions using conditional transfer programs, financial inclusion, moral finance, and sports to promote social change. He has a Master's Degree in Public Policy from Harvard University, and is an economist from New York University.

Co-director of RESPIRA en Colombia and EMERGE, two organizations that combine peacebuilding with mental health practices to restore human resilience in the recovery process from an autoimmune illness. She has developed a method that combines mindful awareness, interoceptive practices, expressive arts, and somatic perspectives.
Paula bridges diversity and culture with contemporary crisis work and trauma integration. She holds an MA in Conflict Transformation, has a BA in Anthropology, is an MBSR trainer from the University of San Diego in California, a Trauma Sensitive Yoga facilitator through the Trauma Center in Boston, a Somatic Experiencing practitioner and a Psychotherapist under expanded states of consciousness from Naropa University. +info
